Before we get started, if you need a refresher on what kief (aka "pollen") is, jump back to our previous article "What is a Kief Catcher?" In the article, we talked about kief and why kief catchers are so great, although often overlooked by beginners.
Here's a real quick excerpt that explains what kief is:
"Kief refers to the super fine, powdery, dust-like substance you get when you grind your herbs. It is very frequently referred to as "pollen" as well, because it looks like a fine coating of flower pollen."
Now that we are all on the same page, if you are anything like us, you hate the thought of letting any part of your bud go to waste. So, last summer as we were discussing potential product ideas in a manufacturing meeting, we decided to add two new products specifically for our fellow kief lovers out there.
Pollen Sifter Box
The first product we added is our Pollen Sifter Box (aka Kief Sifter Box or Shaker Box). This thing is perfect for home use and quickly became our most popular seller during the holiday season.
The box is made from sturdy pine wood and features a high quality, 100 micron mesh screen in the middle, to help filter the pollen from your herb. Unlike the herb catcher on a grinder, our sifter box is large enough to sift unground herb, along with ground herb. The filtered pollen is collected in the bottom catch tray of the box, which is lined with a piece of acrylic, making pollen collection quick and easy.
The box also features removable top and bottom pieces, which are secured with high strength magnets to ensure that your herb & pollen is secure at all times. As a bonus feature, we included a magnetic rolling 'V' and paper storage compartment in the lid, making rolling your own cigarettes a breeze.

Pollen Press w/ T-Style Handle
Next up is our brand new Premium Aluminum Pollen Press with "T-Press" Style One-Piece Handle. This press is made from high grade aluminum and features an easy to use stainless steel handle for pressing. The press itself has a silky smooth powder-coat green finish that is quite an attention grabber.
What's really great about this press is that unlike other presses that rely on the use of awkward multi-dowel pressing techniques, our press has a single dowel that is inserted into the end, allowing you to cleanly press your pollen/kief every time.
The twisting handle provides the user with a comfortable grip and allows for easy compression regardless of the amount of kief/pollen.
